How the search works
- Brief. A private conversation, in person, by telephone or by video call, to understand the neighbourhoods you have in mind, the type and size of home, how you will use it, your timing and your budget, and whether you intend to buy or rent.
- Search. We draw on our own sales and lettings portfolio and our knowledge of the Accra market to identify properties that fit the brief.
- Shortlist. You receive a curated shortlist rather than a long list. Every property on it is there for a reason, and we will tell you what that reason is.
- Viewings. We coordinate viewings around your diary and accompany you, so that each visit is an informed one
- Comparison and advice. We compare the shortlisted homes side by side on the points that matter to you, and add the local context that a listing never shows: the street, the commute, the schools, the neighbours.
- Offer and transaction. We support you through the offer, the negotiation of terms and the steps to completion. Where a purchase, a corporate lease or a relocation needs it, our Transaction Advisory and Relocation Management teams work alongside the search.

Most of our residential work is in Accra’s established neighbourhoods: Cantonments, with its tree-lined streets and long association with the diplomatic community; Airport Residential, where our own office is; East Legon, with its broad plots and gated communities; Labone, between Cantonments and the coast; and Ridge and Roman Ridge, close to the ministries, embassies and banks. We also search in Abelemkpe, Dzorwulu, Osu, Ringway Estates and Trasacco, and beyond the capital in Tema, Aburi and Takoradi. Which areas of Accra do you cover?

Can you start the search before I arrive in Ghana?
Yes. The briefing can take place by telephone or video call, and we can prepare a shortlist and neighbourhood guidance before you travel, so that your time in Accra is spent viewing the right properties
Can a foreign national buy property in Ghana?
Yes, on a leasehold basis. Under Article 266 of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution and Section 10 of the Land Act, 2020 (Act 1036), a non-citizen cannot hold freehold land in Ghana, and a lease granted to a non-citizen may not exceed 50 years at any one time; leases are renewable, and Ghanaian citizens, including dual citizens, may hold leases of up to 99 years (MyJoyOnline; LexAfrica). Apartments and houses can be bought by foreign nationals on that basis. How long does a search usually take?
